I bought this ref. and found very a lot of room for my daily use, not like some ref, which looks huge, looks pretty, but crowd inside daily use space, and which has very fancy room, door inside the door, ......, just waste the precious space and less useful, daily useful space inside the ref! I feel very impressive that the ref. has very small space for ice maker, (compare the general ref in market, all have terrible huge ice maker, and very troublesome to remove it, because I not always need ice ) I very satisfied that I got the most small ref. and most big useful room refrigerator. Thanks, whirlpool!

This fridge is replacing a french door model from another manufacturer that decided to quit. Fridge is solid, has decent features (I like the measured fill feature where it counts out the ounces of water dispensed). The reason I didn't rate this a 5 is that the water line connector was awkward to access and didn't feel solid (I thought it was going to break) and the lower "cover" on the back bottom section is thick cardboard. Also a couple of of the corners of the front door panels have expanding spray foam (or whatever the panels are filled with) showing which was noticeable. I like that the ice maker is in the freezer section (unlike the french door style) and that the ice maker is in the door, leaving a little more shelf room inside. It's only been a few weeks, but so far it's done what I've needed.

I purchased this refrigerator a few weeks ago and love the large capacity. That is where the love ends. The upper corners are cheaply done and they catch your eye frequently which ruins what could be a really nice looking refrigerator. There is some sort of white compound that sticks out. There is also a spot in the back of the refrigerator where it looks like a hole was patched with some putty. Compared to the quality of the Whirlpool we replaced, I am very disappointed. I wanted to go with Whirlpool because they are made in America. Not sure I would go with Whirlpool next time.

Very happy with our new refrigerator. The only problem is the water line being on the bottom - we had to move our refrigerator after it was already in and ended up with a pinched water line that is now leaking. So I don't like the fact that we already have to have it serviced. Otherwise, everything is great.

I bought the refrigerator two months ago. We enjoy using it. It is loaded than our previous refrigerator as the ice maker is on the door, but we don't mind as it gives more space in the freeze compartment. The bottom freezer drawer broke after two months of used. I believe a tab broke. Whirlpool customer service was not very helpful. I'm still waiting to get it fixed as it should be under warranty.

I have had this refrigerator for just over a week and so far so good.
I purchased a Dairy Bin and Can Rack for the refrigerator door and some plastic
baskets for the freezer side.I have all the storage I need and plenty of ice.
After dealing with my French Door for 11 years,slow ice and black hole freezer it was time for "Sammy" to hit the road.
Only one complaint is the water valve for the ice maker is noisy but tolerable

We replaced our 20 year old Whirlpool manufactured Kenmore with this one. The fit and finish was a little bit lacking on this refrigerator. What was a concern is the frosting in the refrigerator section at the filter we are not blocking it which lessens the usable space on the top shelf.
We like the LED lighting but would like it if it faded up when the fridge is opened because of how stark the like is.
I was surprised that the panel has no indication of the actual temperature inside.
Overall we are pleased but Whirlpool needs to step up their game.

Only had this refrigerator for about a month. So far so good. Plenty of room inside. Food is kept cold and consistent. Meaning one part of the refrigerator isn't colder than the other part which I had on both of my previous refrigerators. Originally I thought the ice maker was on the small side but it is keeping up with my daily needs. I like my ice. Lol. The ice maker is a little noisy but not obnoxious. Overall I am very happy with the product.

I see nothing negative as to the refrigerator. Ice maker works very good with quick recovery. Called factory about red light indicating refrigerator door is open and temperature rising up to (50º). Factory made service appointment with service person finding the DEFROST wire had not been connected. (manufacture problem) other wise every thing is OK !!

Bought to replace a different style of refrigerator. The ice in the door is my current favorite although the water in the door is not cold like in the replaced refrigerator. Still getting used to the storage differences but do like the deep door shelves and number of refrigerator shelves. The freezer is large which makes retrieval easier than the previous model.

We have had this unit for about a month. Unfortunately the first unit had defect with the doors not closing properly Costco service was great, they got us replacement in less than two weeks. This refrigerator is Huge! Standard width but much deeper than previous. It's nice to be able to see everything that's in it. Also, the extra space helps it stay clean because we aren't "losing" items. Downside is noise of ice maker and water dispenser.

This refrigerator was delivered about 3 weeks ago. It is very quiet except when making ice but that's a normal sound when ice drops. We are very pleased that it keeps the freezer food frozen below zero but have had to adjust the refrigerator cooling to prevent food from freezing. Love the door mounted ice maker that allows for an additional shelf in the freezer.

My first refrigerator model WRS588FIHZ side by side went out within 1 year. My first response I will NEVER buy Whirlpool, because the expense of this model is not cheap. But it was Whirlpool that backed up the guarantee but replaced the same model refrigerator for no extra cost. I did buy 3 year extended warranty because of my fear the same thing will happening again. I haven't had the second refrigerator long enough to long to fully review it. But I would buy from Whirlpool again because they back their products. In the event you buy Whirlpool product, and it breaks down within the 1 year warranty. The whole mess with having it serviced before they replace product is just process, but I would not wish that on my enemies. I hope to come back to review the refrigerator after the first year. Maybe the first one was a lemon, and crossing my fingers for the second round. I would recommend Whirlpool for a company that will back their products. I can't recommend the refrigerator yet until I've had it for over 1 year.

Large capacity refrigerator/freezer.
Arrived with pasty white corrosive material in the corners, outside the doors at the hinges. Cheap plastic trim on tops of the doors, not a finished product. The magnetic strips inside the refrigerator (the corners) are not properly glued down, nor fit correctly. Expected higher quality from Whirlpool, especially with paying a higher price than other brands.

It was a great buy and I really love the fact that the stainless steel is fingerprint resistant. My husband also loves the ice maker in the door instead of in the interior of the freezer. Love the little square cubes of ice. The water measures how much has come out - like 8 oz or maybe 64 is for 2 qt pitcher of tea. Side by side is so much better than bottom freezer.

Only had this a couple months, but it has a lot of room without sticking out in the kitchen anymore than my last one which was smaller. The ice maker takes a long time to make ice and the ice bin is much smaller that any other ice maker I have had and it is very loud when dispensing ice. I wish the drawers would pull out farther. Overall it seems to be a good refrigerator
