need to replace back panel (very costly!) due to ice /noise /cooling problems. most appliance repair shops have stopped servicing this brand due to its poor reputation. a well known design flaw.

I bought this at the end of March this year so I have used it for one and half month. I have condensation on the surface of the door(outside). I called the customer center and the agent said I need to turn off the ENERGY SAVER option. There is a heater in front of the door and the heater makes condensation according to the agent. Also, she said they are planning to change the option's name because it doesn't seem to work well. I didn't understand. Then, why Samsung makes this option. If there is no energy saver option, I would have thought about another model. This is soooo disappointing.

Please let me warn you to not buy this refrigerator. The water and ice dispenser are a complete disaster. What do I mean by that? Well the ice maker freezes up and water leaks out every time you use it. We had a repairman come and fix it for $500. He said that these refrigerators have had so many complaints and that Samsung refuses to recall the defect that causes this. Well 4 months later after the repair this is happening AGAIN!!! It's not an easy fix. You have to completely empty your fridge and freezer and let it defreeze for overnight!!!!! I am so mad we didn't just buy a new fridge and chose to repair it. Samsung should take notice of this issue with their fridge and make it right with their customers (we are not the only ones). We will stick to TVs and avoid kitchen appliances from now on.

Several door shelves broke due to failed plasic holds. First two shelves were cover by warranty but the next ones were out of warranty. Freezer door handle broke on the right hand side due to week plastic.
Purchased new Samsung Fridge, Washer/Dryer, Dish Washer, Microwave, and stove. All but the stove have broke. Extreamly disapointed with quality and customer service.

Bought one of these a couple years ago from Lowe's. Within 6 months two of the door bins cracked and eventually broke causing a huge mess on the floor. Now all three on the right door are broken, one is completely unusable.
Also, itseems there is a problem with the design used in the refrigeration system which Samsung tells me has been corrected since previous models. Well, no it hasn't. I have to unload it, shut it down, disassemble the inside back panels, and clear out the ice every few months. Between freezing up completely, the drain hose freezes up and causes a lake inside the fridge.
Worst refrigerator I've ever owned. Currently shopping for a new unit. Tired of dealing with it.

Had this fridge since 2013 and its legit THE worse fridge I've ever had. You're better off saving your money. Once the warranty is up, everything on the fridge breaks. My ice maker doesn't even make ice anymore, my fridge is freezing everything inside so imagine having to buy fresh food ALMOST EVERYDAY ! Every time I call for assistance for the last few years, I get absolutely no help because my warranty up. I'm starting to look into other fridges because its costing me money everyday to buy groceries.

I bought this b/c I had a good experience with Samsung tv's. I also have a Samsung washer and was planning on replacing the other appliances as they stopped working with more Samsung products. However, I purchased this machine and have had non-stop issues with the ice maker. Purchased in 2013 and I'm on my second ice maker and I'm still having issues with it. I've also had an issue with the Twin Cooling feature which had ice buildup behind that. I would HIGHLY recommend looking at a different brand. I've looked it up online and there are MANY customers with the same issue and Samsung still has not offered a recall on it. Looks like I'll be going somewhere else for my stove and microwave when I replace those.

I moved into a 1-1/2 year old house that had this Samsung refrigerator. It is a nightmare to clean. Every single part of it is difficult to clean. If food or liquid gets under the clear plastic there is no way that, by yourself, you get can underneath the clear plastic (look at the drawers and you'll see the clear plastic surrounding the handle). The glass top that sits on the double drawer...impossible to get out. And you need to in order to clean properly. I don't mean there are not clips to release to get things apart, I mean it is impossible to actually move these clips. I tried for 2 hours, watched videos, used a screw driver, gently, which broke off a piece of the clear plastic. You will regret buying this refrigerator. It works okay, but it's nothing special and the degree of difficulty in cleaning up after an inevitable spill makes this product a total mistake in product design. I believe you'll regret it if you purchase it.

We bought the fridge new in 2014. All is well in the beginning and then your extended 4 year warranty is up and then things go south. First, the ice maker constantly freezes and you need to defrost it and now the motor for the twin cooling unit gets ice build up and your unit sounds like a jet engine ready to lift off. Buyer beware, it looks nice and plays nice.....for awhile

We have had this fridge for almost 2 years, it has amazing features and storage. There is one flaw that is becoming costly for us. The problem is the fan in the fridge is gathering ice and making noise. The repairman said there was a noted design flaw with 2 tubes near the fan both passing water at drastically different temperatures. This causes them to build up ice around them which makes the fan unstable, makes noise and causes the fan to run constantly.

After 4 years of pure frustration, I think it is time to unload. This refrig performance overall is ok, but the ONE REASON we chose this Samsung was it seemed to have the largest ice maker. The sad thing is the salesman warned us that Samsung was not high on the list of satisfied customers and of Samsung's poor customer service. What a disappointment. It leaks water and freezes up and will not function most of the time. I finally found service bulletins from Samsung that the service tech had no idea about. The bulletins offered several possible repairs/fixes. I insisted the tech perform all of them, at my expense.They slowed down the issues, but have not solved the problem. Now we do not have full size cubes and it still freezes up, not as often, but it should not freeze up as often as it does. As soon as one of our reliable, older model garage units go our, I'm buying a different brand. Never will we purchase a Samsung refrigerator freezer again.

I bought this fridge a few months back. It's really nice looking. There is ample space on the inside. It looks really nice in the kitchen. That said, I can't believe how loud it is! I replaced this with my 18 year old Frigidaire Gallery and this is SO much louder. It even comes with a sheet that addresses the noise.
In all, I like the fridge but would think twice about purchasing my next from Samsung.

This refrigerator is terrible. It was one of the few available that fit my space, but it has been awful. It is literally falling apart. I have replaced the plastic cover to the shelf already, and now it is broken again, as is the shelf itself, so I will have to purchase a new shelf and cover. The handle to the freezer broke off, so I had to replace that as well. For the price, it really should hold up better. Very disappointed and will never buy samsung appliances again. Stick to TV's when purchasing samsung products.

Don't buy this fridge!! It's great at first but after a while the ice maker keeps freezing up. And it's only covered for a year so right after that year it starts acting up. So I do not recommend this fridge at all! Ice maker problems look it up online there are a lot of complaints about it. So stay away from this fridge!

Have had this for a year and a half... love the shelves. Had heard some concerns that the ice maker / water dispense "leaks" but I havr not had this issue. I think when the ice is dispensed, if a piece of ice is caught between ice maker and dispenser, it eventually melts and will spill into tray area. Can fit lots of stuff, cakes, lots of food, plenty of drinks. We have a large extended family and host lots of events at our home and we can fit so much in here its amazing. Only gripe is the door shelves on the side that house the dispenser has a bunch of small and narrow spaces. I usually shove condiments and small things there.
